Personal History: Sean was born in County Mayo, Ireland. Though he was an only child, he grew up with and beside his cousin, Tom. They had it relatively easy, living in Cassidy Keep, but boys are boys and playing hide and seek in hidden passages got old pretty fast. So they hit the streets. Not specifically to make trouble, but they both had their share of fights, and their reputation built fairly quickly: you don't mess with the Cassidy boys. Sean's wild streak was tempered by two things: his love of music and Maeve Rourke. Tom and Sean put a band together, and Maeve came to try out as a backup singer. Both the boys fell for her, but Sean asked her on a date first. The cousins had a friendly rivalry over her, and the three were good friends. The band played folk rock (think the Irish version of Wolfstone) and played in local pubs. And things were cool until Tom got caught up with a whole new set of friends and pulled into the IRA. He didn't mention it to Sean. He didn't mention it to Maeve. He didn't, as a matter of fact, mention it to anyone until the cops came looking for him in the middle of a performance and all hell broke loose. Fists and chairs flew. People scattered. Sean—who'd been keeping his ability to himself after cracking the bathroom mirror (singing in the shower) – blew out the windows in the pub. And Maeve panicked. Sean was shipped off to relatives in the States before Tom got out of jail. Maeve never returned Sean's phone calls. Then the family got a letter from Xavier. He attended Xavier's school until he finished college. He made a new pack of friends, most of them other international students. He fell in love with a green-haired girl and his eyes never wandered. Footie and friends were the name of the game. He and Lorna stayed in New York so she could finish graduate school, then returned to Ireland where he took over the running of Cassidy Keep.
